I doubt it. It's most likely a remake of Rayman 1 if they're putting something on DSi Download or whatever that crap is.

A lot of people don't even have DSis because it's not a proper upgrade from the Lite. It's just a Gimmick. It wasn't even suppose to be mass released like this.

It's not uncommon for Japan to remake consoles with MINOR add-ons for collectors and such...doesn't mean these new add-on consoles and handhelds need to be owned in order to play a BRAND NEW game.

Otherwise that puts a LOT of people who can't afford to buy a new console every two years in the dust if they can't play a game they've been waiting for, just because they don't own the DS with the camera attachment on it.

Speaking of the DSi, is the DS version of RGH meant to have DSi enchancements on it or something? I've still got a Lite and if I ever get a DSi myself [shouldn't be a problem if my sister still wants it] then I ought to know what I'm going to be missing if I get round to buying it.

I'll probably only get a DSi because my baby bro broke my Lite (grrr :P). Otherwise, I doubt I'd bother getting one when I could get a PSP or something instead.

They don't really look that good, tbh.

DSi is just a waste of money in my opinion. Unless DS Lite goes entirely out of production when I need to replace mine (Bad battery life), then I don't see myself ever getting one.

I would say that its good news, it means that ubisoft still didn't forget rayman. Just see it in that way.

I saw the DS version of RGH in Tescos the other day and it said on the back you need the DSi camera to customize your Rabbid.

Also, it's a 2D platformer that has loads of puzzles in it. Not sure what kind of puzzles, it didn't say. It looks kinda rubbish, tbh.

I think the Wii version looks pretty awesome, though. Reminds me of the on-foot parts of Crash Tag Team Racing.

Slightly off the topic of the game itself...but the accompanying figure set is absolutely GORGEOUS!

For those who don't know, it's a figure set from Factory/Ubiart called "Rabbids Invade the World". There are 30 figures, with each one depicting a different country. The figures are actually very intelligent in their references, to the point that even non Rayman/Rabbid fans will get a chuckle out of them. The sculpts are also fantastic; full bodied with a massive presence, even though they only stand at 2" tall, with great paintwork. The card game and stickers are a nice bonus, and the fact that the figures are loose in the bag means tha you can feel which figure you have before buying and opening it.

I currently have Saudi Arabia and Morocco, but I'm dying to get Australia (the mini-Rabbid in the pouch is just so cute!), and I wouldn't mind getting England, Scotland, Greenland, Japan, Germany and Vietnam, either.

Where can you even get them and how much are they each? I read that you can get them in WHSmith but where else?

It'd be nice if there were more figurines of Rayman and co though, I'm dying for a proper Ly one.

I got my figures at GameStation, although I've always known them to be avid stockists of the whole "Lucky Dip" type product. The official site for the figures says that they can be bought at all good newsagents and game shops, so I'll go out on a limb and say that GAME, GameStation's sister chain, will also have them. I'll go out today and see if smaller, independant stores have them.

The price...okay, I'm not certain, but when I went to pick the two up, their price was given as £2.49 each. However, the cashiers saw this as a pricing error, and charged me £1.99 each for them. I'd look out for stores charging the latter price.

I haven't even heard of any figures that weren't the Rabbids, not even of Rayman himself! Maybe part of the problem is that Rayman's origin is French? There never was much merchandise for franchises that weren't developed in America, Japan or Britain. If we do get some in the future, I'd imagine it'd be a way off, and by a smaller, niche figurine company (Do it, Forbidden Planet!).

Well there's very few figurines of Rayman himself, one of which I have, as well as McDonalds toys that were only around in France back in 2000. They *used* to do one of Goth Rayman from RRR on the Ubi shop but apparently they're sold out now and I am not a happy bunny about that. >:C

2 quid each...damn that's a bit much for a small figurine but at least it's not as bad as when people sell them on eBay.

£2 is generally dear, but it's a bargain in the 'Lucky Dip' stakes. The figures are much bigger and well-made than most, and Factory even went to the trouble of chucking in a card game and stickers. Although, yes, in any case it's much better than when people sell them on Ebay.



More in line with the game, I got both it and New Super Mario Bros Wii, today. I decided to play RGH first, and NSMBW after. I've yet to get to NSMBW, I'm just so addicted to playing RGH! It's a heck of a lot more fun than I expected, and I went in neutral!

Pff, had to pay £2.50 each for my two in Gamestation. They do them in GAME too but they're like 3 quid and I'm like "f**k that!"

It'd be really really really REALLY cool if all your Rabbids stuff was a bit cheaper, can't spend all this month's wages buying everything in the Ubi shop up.
