I don't think so. The two so-called different universes of R1 and R2/3 both have:
A: Jumping blue-and-orange piranhas B: Cages C: Rayman himself(if he was from a different world, surely somebody in the game would have mentioned it?) D: Giant bouncy plums E: The Great Protoon could be the Heart of the World, it just looks different in R3 since the Robo-Pirates destroyed it and the teensies repaired it. F: If you look closely at the plum-posts in R3, you see an enemy from R1. It was the style that changed, not the universe. Rayman also looks different in all the games, but nobody ever questions that it's the same Rayman. Does anybody agree with ma? |

There was a commercial of R2 (or was it a spoiler? I'm not sure.) in which Rayman was warped through some portal and then ended up in the R2/R3 world. Also, considder that in R2 and R3 everyone expect Rayman himself has limbs. And Rayman is the only one of his spieces there alive. Also, the Rayman 1 world is made by the so-called Great Protoon, while the world in R2/R3 is made by Polokus.
Lastly, in Rayman 2, if you go into Ray's mind with F1, it clearly explains that the world was created by Polokus, but he did not create Rayman. It also says they don't know where he comes from. (the Rayman 1 world). Conclusion: Rayman is not in the world he used to live. |

I'm getting real confused in this subject.
I think Rayman 1 is in an other world. But Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 are in the same world (except The land of the knaaren). I need time to think this out. |

Or maybe he comes from a different planet or Glade. Whatever, this is too confusing for me. >_> Discussing the logic in Rayman is no where near as fun as talking about the logic in Mega Man.

This is deeply confusing. I wish a Ubi member would step forward and clarify the matters of Polokus, the Heart, the Protoon, the Leptys, the Glade of Dreams etc. And where can I see that commercial/spoiler of R2?

Rayman was supposed to have been found by fishermen...but when? Before or after R1? This is getting interesting...

Yeah, he was found by fishermen. That was between R1 and 2.

But why where there no Rayians in Rayman 1 then. I'm really confused about this subject.

If I can cast my mind way back to 2000, the old official Rayman GBC site had that fisherman story on there, or something similar.
Aaaa Robots.txt D= StaceyW- Not from bebo |

I told yas Rayman GBC was cannon. Hey is that website still around. BTW, If this stuff is true, then Mr.Dark will never be returning to the Rayman series. Unless he goes through that portal like Rayman does. (or a 3D remake of Rayman 1) |

Actually, in regards to the lack of Raymanians in R2 and R3, in my novelization of R2 that I'm going to post sometime today and that I wrote the first chapter of two days ago, the Robo-Pirates kill off the Raymanians. I know it isn't official, but just thought I'd mention it. XP
I actually am beginning to wonder, "Why do we keep debating if the games take place in the same universe?" I mean, did Ancel and his buddies really sit down and find how the games connected? Or are they just separate games, separate universes, separate everything with only Rayman in common? None of the games make any true references to the others apart from cameos and one mentioning of Space Mama on R3's French website in relation to Count Razoff. Does the Leptys really have some interconnection to Polokus? Did the creators sit down and think these things through as if they were J.R.R. Tolkien? These games may have as much connection as Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. Same general characters, but impossible connectivity. I say this in exception to the GBA version of R3 and Hoodlum's Revenge, which are the true sequels (at least in concept) to R2 and R3 respectively. I don't think so, Zelda games really are wide spread with hundreds and millions of Links, one Ganon, and one Psycho Sign Owner. o_o

It think we should call them "The Limbless" Or just "Limbless" with a capital "L" stating that it is the name of the species. Cause, I'm sure the whole race didn't name themselves after Rayman. (who probably wasn't the first Limbless to live.)
