I thought it to be possible, and after spending some time figuring the options dialog box out, I thought I had it all configured proparly. However, When i try to steer with my moude, the aircraft sort of rolls over, and it doesn't react to the mouse anymore. I desperatly want to to steer with the =mouse, as steering with the keyboard I find extremely irritating, not to mention that it destroys my gaming experience. How exactly can I configure the mouse so i can steer the aircraft with succes, meaning I can use the mouse as a joystick?

Thanks in advance,
- Thralni

Surely you can't be serious?

Yes, I am serious. you see, I have been trying to configure it correctly, but as there is now simply method of just saying "use mouse as yoke" like in Mcrofost Flight Simulator or something of that kind, but rather messing around with axes, I just don't get it to work right. Everytime I try to use the mouse, the aircraft sort of rolls over and it doesn't react any more to my mouse's motions. The aircraft crashes in the end.

So yeah, I am definitely serious, and I have come here for help, not for "oh my god, look how stupid this guy is" posts.

I hear ya;
I am also trying to stir the airplane with the mouse but can't get the config right.
Flight Simulator X allows you to use the mouse as yoke and it is incredibly accurate and less tiring than with a joystick.

PLEASE help us find a solution for this,
Thanks,

I had trouble with this as well when I first got the game, which was actually recently. But nevermind what anyone says about LOMAC supposedly not supporting mouse control - this is completely untrue and it is very possible to set up mouse yoke in LOMAC. To use the mouse as a stick, go to the options menu. On the device selector, choose mouse, to the right of the selector there is a switch for buttons/axes, switch it to axes. Select the pitch access and click on the change button, set it to Axis1. Set Roll to Axis0, and you can also set thrust control using Axis2 (the mousewheel) if you have one. It's that simple. Test it out- it should work perfectly.

I think the intended point is to show how STUPID it is to use the mouse- not whether or not it can be done.

Hey InazumaOne,
I tried your steps but they still didn't work;
I went to options, selected mouse in the device selector, switched to axes and applied to axis1 and 0 for pitch and roll then clicked OK,
but when I load a mission the mouse is it unresponsive,

Do you have any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks for the tips

Good news! I think I've cracked it Smile

I registered specifically for this thread as I was/am having the same problem. You have to get all technical with the axis curves and watnot. I'm having a fiddle now so i cant be specific as of yet but will post again in a few mins.

Trying "InazumaOne's" method DOES work, if you look at the joystick in the cockpit while moving the mouse wildly... you will see it moves very subtley Smile

I've got it reacting alright at the moment but the main problem is getting the balance between sensitivity and flyability. I.e when i was messing about a min ago i got relatively great reaction with regards to mouse movement - very smooth etc etc but wen i tapped f2 and had a look at the (i forget the name - ill call them vertical rudders - the ones for pitch) they are NO WER near full tilt. In fact even though the plane is response i have to move the mouse about 4 foot (no exageration) to get a full G turn.

anyway im ranting --- will write wen its sorted
