HELP! I am trying to run a SAitek 45 on Lock-ON Modern Air Combat. When I try to switch from keyboard to joystick the game only lets me steer...nothing else.
When I go back to the control panel to check the settings it registers the keyboard again as the control of choice. So i reset it to the Saitek and test it to the outcome of all controls work. however, when I return to the gAME...same result. I t reverts to keyboard aand I can't figure out why.
Anyone got a solution?

This is a common misconception. When you go into Options INPUT again you see it says KEYBOARD, but that does not mean it has swapped from joystick back to keyboard. It is simply thast keyboard is the first device in the list, it does not mean the other devices in the list aren't active.

When you add in whatever settings you want for your joystick, you are adding them as additions to the keyboard commands. Example, keyboard default is key "Q" for chaff and flares. In Options, perhaps you choose to set button 4 on your stick to drop chaff and flares. In game, you can then press either Q or button 4 to drop chaff and flares.
