can someone please upload the 1.12b patch seeing how there is no reasonable way to download it anywhere to my knowledge. How complicated does this have to be? Can't I just click on a link and get it. For the love of hog!

Simply pick the correct one for the method by which you got your copy of Flaming Cliffs:-
Gold in Europe,
Russian language single CD,
single CD for Western World / Gold in the US,
Web download.

this is a mess...an exellent example of why it is very important to make sure everything is spelled correktly.

firstly where can i find the patch for Lock on FC installed over LOMAC?

on the german site it says 1.12b for Lock on Gold which is NOT what i have (did they mean FC cos thats what the picture shows.)

anyway i downloaded it and tried installing it but it installs in a wrong folder becasue it put in Eagle Dynam instead of Eagle Dynamics (small spellin mistake) the stupid thing is that when i hit browse to guide it to the correkt destination the "next" button becomes grayed out and i cant install it anyway. its an exallent game but its full of this kind of errors... also the tutorial and encyclopedia is full of small english gramma and spelling mistakes... not very proffesional...

i still like the game though so please help.
and sorry for reviving an old topic but its better than starting a new one.

I can't answer that question because I dont know how you got your FC that you've installed over Lockon. Did you buy a single disk copy of FC or did you get the web download? That is vital information for you to be pointed to the correct patch.

Well I wouldn't get too critical of them for showing the same FC picture next to all the patches, I'm guessing they didn't have pictures of GOLD from the US, or FC from Russia and what pic could you show for the web version anyway?

But to get back to business, on that site there are 4 patches. I appreciate that it being in German doesn't help. But I did a couple of years of German in school about 40 yrs ago, couple that with babelfish and it was enough to figure it out.

Taking the 4 patches in order down the page.

1) The 1.12b patch for the LO GOLD version sold in Europe (GB,France,Germany)

2) The 1.12b patch for the Russian single CD version of FC

3) The 1.12b patch that will work for both of:-
a) the English single CD version of FC
b) the LO GOLD sold in the USA

4) The 1.12b patch for the English Web download version of FC

One of these four must cover the method by which you obtained your FC.

thanks a zillion Radar_dude. i did german in school aswell but i think i would have been equally confused even if it was all in english.

i have a box with Flaming clifs in english and a box with Lock on modern air combat also in english so i guess its number 3 right? downloading that now then.

Yep, sounds to me like you need the 3rd patch. Fingers crossed it works Ok for you.
