Lock on finaly arrived today and im in the middle of setting up my x52 flight stick, but I have a problem...I cant seem to center the damn x-y axis', the whole things off, by alot, and it's making it impossible to fly. I cant find any auto center buttons anywhere. Can anyone help me out here?
hmm.. Can it be calibrated via windows control panel? Try that.
Also- follow this initial config procedure- I don't know if it will fix the problem, but it's extremely likely you'll have to do some of this anyway. Particularly the manual assignment of your rudder & thrust axes- these are typically wrong in the default automatic assignments.
Hey Konkussion, your guide was really helpfull thanks alot, managed to re-center my stick just by reinstalling it, dunno what happened to it but it's ok now. Just one more question though, when i'm flying the Russian jets their noses always get pulled skyward, but with the US planes I can maintain level flight no probs. Is this just the nature of the Russian jets for this to happen?
US jets tend to have autotrim features, whereas Russian jets need constant trimming when you change speed/height. Lockon models these characteristics, so when you move from flying F-15 to the MiG's / Sue's you really notice it. A-10 being an old school jet needs trimming too, but to me it seems to need it less than the Russian jets.
Most folks use a hat switch on their stick to trim.
