Hi Guys
I have been away a long time and have just started playing again.
I am experiencing a lot of missing textures see through planes and weird blocks in the sky? I have the latest version of fc and my graphics drivers are all up to date.
I have a 3.0 p4 1 gig of ram and a 7800gts card.
Please any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks John.

An older, weaker processor, and a little short on RAM- but sufficient. Turn down your settings some.

Heat blur- OFF A total waste of resources unless you are making movies or screenshot art.

Shadows- all planar or lower.

Water- medium or lower

mirrors- OFF or on low

read this page and figure out what you can tinker with to improve..

Also- look into increasing your RAM to 2 gigs. Good idea to off applications & services running in the background of windows that you do not need.

...and for that you might try a neat utility called Alacrity (previously called FSAutoStart). It will let you shut down useless Windows rubbish while you fly, then restart it all again when you exit Lockon. Pretty neat Util.

OK I tried turning the graphics down all to low and i still get the missing textures and see through planes. I would attach a picture if i knew how.
Do you think a reinstall would help?
Thanks John.
Ps i use to run this game on this machine before with none of these issues.
Also since then i have a better card a 7800gts.
Thanks John

Make sure you are not running full shadows.

Are you sure you installed the drivers for your card properly?

I think we are having the same issue. I could play LOMAC on my older system but when i installed it on my new one, this same problem accured. I'm flying on a black cockpit(only the HUD are clearly visible), though outside environment is visible but i comes with blocks.
I have tried the low settings but this didn,t fix the issue.
