I just forked out $120.00 +tax for my new X52 system. I'm still having control problems with LOMAC. The aircraft is unstable in flight even with easy settings. I want to assign buttons but when I click change it keeps going from button 33 to 34 and the assign window won't stay open long enough to select. I don't know what's going on. Maybe I should just SCRAP LOMAC and this X52 and get the heck away from flight simulators. I need some help.

Do you use SST to map your Stick buttons? (you should be)
Did you set up your axes in lock on\options\input? (they are usually wrong by default) Did you configure the stick in LOMAC **prior to** making a map in SST? (you'll have problems if you haven't) http://konkussion.proboards60.com/index.cgi?board=x45&a...ay&thread=1130214393 |

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try. My LOMAC is 1.01 and it says this on the main screen. When I patch it to 1.02 the version is no longer displayed. Is this normal?

What media do you have? Original LOMAC on a single disk or Lock On "GOLD"? (2 disks)
I don't remember that being the case, no. I'd recommend a clean install when patching. I'd further recommend that you don't bother with any patching below 1.1 FC at all. Get the payware add on Flaming Cliffs (1.1) and patch to 1.12 . You install it directly from whatever version is on your disk. (this can vary- 1.0, 1.01, 1.02) So: UNINSTALL and delete the leftover folder in windows explorer. Install your disk. (don't care what version it is) Obtain FC via disk or download. Install directly over whatever version you have. Patch to 1.12 |
