Ok here I go. Installed FC 1.1 and it ran fine whenever I clicked the shortcut to play, installed the patch 1.12a from here http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=17&lang=en played fine the first time...walla second time around third time around and even the fourth time this stupid protection "decides" not to allow me to play. I have the english CD version and thus installed the patch for english CD version, I can't get into lockon.ru or lockon.co.uk otherwise I would have but those pages just come up with unable to find messages. Patch out starforce it has been noted to burn CD drives and harddrives in the past, it is unstable and is noted as being unstable...why do you think game developers no longer use it?

It's conflicting with my WinAmp (I play music when I fly). It seems to also check the disc everytime without giving me a week before I need to insert it?

Once again Starforce lives up to it's reputation of being a terribly unstable program. I bought this just today and am already thinking of returning just for the fact that it is being a difficult game to just run let alone the difficulties playing (which I don't mind).

I am having the same problem with this sh**tforce copy protection. do you know why lockon.ru doesn't work?

Well now it just doesn't work, makes me wonder why I bought this expansion...looking like another game to the trash bin, shame is the few times that I was able to play it the game was pretty fun...but now it just won't start at all, and it probably won't get patched out until they release the next add-on which means inevitably you will have to pay money just to run the game you already purchased...taking tips from EA I guess, another company to add to my do-not-buy list.
