G'day,

LOMAC and Flaming Cliffs arrived today. I installed them both, followed by the latest patch and rebooted.

I booted up LOMAC and took one of the A-10 training flights. When I decided to take control, I noticed my throttle wasn't responding. I have the LOMAC profile loaded from Saitek's site.

I went into Options, and into Input. I changed the input from Keyboard to the X52 and hit OK in the bottom right hand corner, then went for another flight. Same thing, no response from my throttle.

Going back into the Input Options, the input is somehow keyboard again.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Joe

Follow these instructions exactly.

..and don't worry about the keyboard showing every time you go to options. It's simply the default device in the list. It does NOT mean that other devices are not active.

Thanks for that - really helpful.

I followed those instructions exactly, yet my throttle still does not respond in LOMAC. I plugged in my old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and it worked fine.

Thanks for any help.

You positive you did it right?

Clear the "left/ right thrust" axes

Reassign the throttle to "thrust"

I assume the X52 is seen as a single controller?

Thanks konkussion!

I posted over at the Saitek forum - and apparently the "Power" axis is to be set to "Axis 02", working great now.

Cheers for the help mate, much appreciated.

I've heard you can use the little mouse on the throttle for the Maverick Seeker - plus I want to use the hat switch to pan in external and cockpit view. Any idea how to set up those?

Yes- you simply select the mini stick and map the commands for each direction. I'm pretty sure I showed how to map a command on my site. Unfortunately, you can't use an X45 profile on an X52. As for looking around- do yourself a favor...

Yep what Konny said! TrackIR is a terrific pice of kit, once you get used to it and get it set just right for you (took me about a week of tweaking) you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Viewing with a hat switch will seem sooooo slow and clunky.

Cheers gents. The TrackIR has been on my "to get" list for a long time now, and I've decided I'll pick one up when I get a new rig - most likely taking advantage of that $20 discount. Does that apply to Australian buyers as well?
