I create a room on my ubi.com multiplayer board. My friend joins, I hit start game, my game loads and my friend gets kicked from room saying the room has been cancled. We tried it 15- 20 times we checked to make sure we had the same patch V1.02.
the game looks fantastic on my system (AMD 64 bit with 1 gb ram and my radeon x700 pro 256mb graphics card)so I am dying to play online but so far all I can say is WTF! |

The simple answer is - UBI.com is a joke. Get hyperlobby or host it directly.
Hyperlobby is where the vast majority of online pilots are- but you will want to get the latest version of LOMAC.. There are a couple of 1.02 rooms up at times, but it's mostly 1.1 now. |

More than likely the answer is NOT so simple as konkussion says.
UBI.com LockOn hosting works fine. If you're having trouble hosting on Ubi - you'll have the SAME trouble trying to host on HyperLobby or direct-IP hosting. I'm guessing that both of you can join other players games. But when you try and host no one ever joins your game. Is that correct? Describe your Internet connection hardware setup. Is there a router involved? Check this forum thread which describes another players experiance: PLEASE....Help us create a game As for hosting on Ubi.com, HyperLobby or direct IP its just a matter of choice. All 3 work equally well. The majority of version 1.1 Flamming Cliffs owners fly on Hyperlobby. But if you have version 1.02 the majority of games are usually on Ubi.com. For example this morning there were 35 people and 1 ver 1.02 games in Hyperlobby. While at Ubi.com there were 22 people and four ver 1.02 games. Depending on the time of day you play you might find more people online @ Ubi than at Hyperlobby. |
