Hello,

I have a Gateway laptop with an Nv 9800gts Intel 2.2Ghz Centrino processor with 4G of RAM. I get much lower perfromance on this machine compared with my older desktop running an AMD 4000 nV 8800GT, 2G of RAM. This difference is obvious with graphics at the same settings and even with the laptop running much lower graphics settings. The laptop resoltion is higher, but the difference is still there when set at a similar resoltion.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Figured it out myself. Power saving was on. This makes a laptop run like crap for gaming.
