You cannot land the F15 -or any other USAF aircraft- on an aircraft carrier. The tailhook on the F15 is for emergency runway landings where the aircraft has suffered some failure or damage, and is unlikely to stop safely on it's own. Carrier borne aircraft are specially built for the incredible stresses placed upon them. STOUT landing gear, heavily reinforced structures throughout the airframe. The F15's gear would snap like a twig immediately upon a shipboard touchdown & the tailhook would snap under the stresses of the arresting gear. Emergency Runway cables are NOT designed to stop a plane in quite the same fashion. (meaning within 2-300 feet)
