folks!

I just noticed that i get weird "flickering" reflections on the water at a certain distance. It looks like as if the textures only flicker where the LOD changes from high to low. There is a "bubble" around the plane, where the game displays more details within this "bubble". An at that very transision, it flickers up and down. before and beyond that line, everything is okay.
I am using an GF 8800GT and the 177.89 drivers. Any ideas? Maybe that's by design like the selfshadowing bug in LOMAC?
Thanks in advance!

Smile I did, but the problem is that the flickering isn't shadow related. I use "all planar". The flickering textures i mean are on the water only. I mean the cloud reflections and the costline which mirrors itself in the water when you are lfying low. These textures flicker up and down but only at a certain distance. When they are are close to my plane or beond that certai ndistance, they look just fine.

Some of it will never go away. Lomac was never really finished properly. I have noticed an improvement over the years with later versions of LOMAC, and major hardware upgrades. I still see some flickering on the ground at airports, and on the carrier right in the beam of my landing light. I could say that it has mostly gone away with the newer computer.
