I don't understand what the problem with this sim is. I'm getting a decent frame rate, around 35-40 when just flying around but when I get into a heavy engagement area they drop to 1 or 2. I have a pretty decent system too and it really doesn't seem to be much different than with my older slower system.
Any suggestions? Here's what I have. 3.0 Ghz Pentium 4 1 GB of RAM Windows XP Pro XFX Gforce 7600 HP LP2465 24" LCD Monitor No overclocking Anti Aliasing-2x Anistropic filt-2x Textures-High Scenes-High Terrain PRLD-50km Civ Traffic-No Water-High Haze-Basic Lights-Weapons Vis. Range-High Effects-Med Heat Blr-Off Shaddows-None Color-32bit Res-1600x1000 Canopy Ref-Off Mirrors-Off |

Turn water & vis range to medium. You'll still have some slowdowns.

What kind of system does it take to run this on high settings. It seems kind of ridiculous that it's still choking at this level.
