There are various versions of LOMAC- you may not have the right one. Most mods are made for a certain version.
You didn't get an add on- you got a mod. A simple re-skinning of a flyable plane to make it look like another from the outside. Mods do not always work right.

yep- just be sure to delete the leftover file folder in windows explorer after you uninstall.
Not a bad idea to clean up your disk, error check,defrag, and then reboot before reinstalling.
You also may want to consider bypasssing 1.02 completely and getting the paid add on 1.1 FLAMING CLIFFS. You can then patch (for free) to version 1.12b and you'll be up to date with the version most people are playing on.
