Hey guys,
I can start Lock On 1.12a, but can not start any flight mission. It would crash to desktop with that MS sending error report message. The error file under LockOn/temp folder reads below. Can somebody tell me what is the problem? I've reinstalled LockOn. Didn't help. Thanks! -------------- 10/6/2007 20:47 V512091930 TrackIR DLL path: C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\ NPClient interface -- initialize OK NPClient : Window handle registration successful NPClient : NaturalPoint software version is 4.00 NPClient : Data transmission started TrackIR DLL path: C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\ NPClient interface -- initialize OK NPClient : Window handle registration successful NPClient : NaturalPoint software version is 4.00 NPClient : Data transmission started Dispatcher: track version = 512091930 Dispatcher: initial random seed = 8061937 Dispatcher: apply random seed = 8061937 Cosmos: Mission date assigned - Year:2004, Month:6, Day:22 DXDefTexture: failed to load C-130-PAINT-DEF1.bmp, D3DXERR_INVALIDDATA. Nothing in the error report explains why you cant start a mission.
Post your DXDiag report for us - just the top 1/3 not the full list. From the Start button, choose RUN, type in dxdiag and hit return to start DxDiagnostics. Use the SaveAllInformation button to save a copy of the DxDiag report to your desktop. Then copy/paste the top 1/3 (the info above "System Devices") of the report into the topic here. |

OK thanks for that.
Go into the Options/Graphics settings and list what settings you are trying to use. For a test use the LOW Default settings at the bottom and set the Resolut setting @ 1024x768. Turn off the Full Screen option and try and fly a test mission. See if you can get into the air. |

my LockOn resul setting is 1024x768. I tried with Full Screen off. No luck. Tried using the default low settings. No luck.
The Errors report file always has that DXDefTexture message. Does it mean my DX setting has some problem? I just tried to install the latest vedio driver fron NVidia. It didn't help. Everything works fine. IL2 also plays with no problem on my computer. This is really frustrating. Thanks for your help, Romeo! |
