HI, is this usable with 1.1? i cant use my old profile,even tho the flaps button hasnt changed in 1.1 the flaps key i assigned doesnt work? it does something else?but if i hit f on the keyboard the flaps come down? i cheked and my flaps kay is deffinatly set to f so what is going on?Thanks

First thing that comes to mind is that you are going too fast. Flaps & gear won't deploy above a certain speed. 500kmph for the Flankers, I'm not certain of the F15.. maybe about.. 350kts? I think even the A10 can get get rolling fast enough to prevent deployment. Downhill. In a monsoon.

Well I am using my X45 stick just fine except for one detail.

No matter what missile or bomb I have selected whenever I hit the trigger to release the selected weapon, only the cannon works.

Apart from that everything else works. I know its something on my end I'm not doing Im sure so can anyone help me out?

Yes, on the US aircraft there are 2 fire buttons. "Space" is guns only- "Enter" is all other weapons. I suggest you map the enter key to your covered fire button.

Hmmm, just checked the profile in the editor and found that Enter was mapped to the "shift+trigger," checked it anyhow and changed it back to the Enter key but it still is a no go. Nothing happens when I pull the pinkie switch and the trigger.

Still stuck on it.

Make sure you have cleared all the IN GAME default mappings for your stick as per the beginning of this thread. BE SURE that you have selected the x45 before you begin to clear them. DO NOT clear the mappings with the device "keyboard" selected.

Try it again.

Have you changed any of the key mappings in the game itself? That is- did you make any changes with "keyboard" selected?

Another possibility- assuming you have not made a mapping error- is that you need to be in the appropriate combat mode to release a weapon. So, if you're in the A10, make sure you are in air to ground mode.

Double checked everything and heres what I have so far....

I have cleared all the key assignments for the X45 stick in game. I did not clear any of the keyboard ones so that doesnt seem to be the problem at the moment.

Also, I am in the right mode on the stick so that doesnt appear to be the problem either. Should I try uninstalling the profile and reinstalling?

Seems to me that just the act of starting the game & profiler would do the same.. If you're positive that you have the mapping correct maybe you have a bad button. here's what I wrote to this other guy on the main board:

Click my sig- download my profile "konlockon zoom". Place it in your X45 folder, and enable it. Grab yourself a US plane, and see if the 2 separate buttons buttons work. Trigger will be guns only, covered button will be everything else. Since you don't know my layout well-

Make sure your AUX switch is centered

MODE 1: air to air
MODE 2: NAVIGATION/ takeoff & landing
MODE 3: air to ground

Just use the keys to get to the correct weapons-release configuration- that way you don't need to study my profile to test this.

If this profile works- then you have made an error in yours somewhere. OR you have a bad button. Email me your profile toyobri@comcast.net and I'll look at it when I get home later tonight.

i'm stuck on the check, i cannot get the notepad to write the letter when i pull the trigger or push the button. what did i miss, the profile is set in the icon,please help.

Where is Precog anyway?
I'm interested in finding any updates for the v1.1
and a mirror hosting the latest corrected profile.

I think that the 1.02 profile is suitable for Lock On 1.1, certainly with the IR Enabled profile, the corrections are minor, and folks can still tweak it to meet their own specific needs.

Some of the issues that you need to address with the 1.02 profile are:

Theatre View F10 conflicts with the recommendation of using F10 as a hotkey for Track IR, therefore the change recommended is that Shift Fire D in all modes = Alt + F11 and not F10.

Static Objects View F12, same problem here in that it conflicts with F12 as a hotkey for Track IR. Change it to something like Alt+F12 instead. Of course you could just as easily change the IR settings instead.

Other than that, I can't think of any other issues with the profile and 1.1.

I would be surprised if there was much more effort involved in the Non IR enabled profile (I haven't looked at it though so that is purely guesswork).

Even though 1.1 introduces a number of new keyboard combinations it doesn't appear to have affected the Precog Profile that much (unless of course I'm missing something out...?)

I am haveing a problem with my X45. When I load a profile, any profile it is as if my mouse wheel is stuck down. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? I have installed/ unistalled a dozen times. Old cd drivers and new web udated drives still the same old thing. The unit seems fine in calibration window all buttons funtion correctly but as soon as I load a profile WHAM!

Yes. You have "page up/down" mapped to your stick as part of your profile, right? Maybe on the "AUX" switch? You MUST leave a position on the AUX switch blank and put the switch there when not using the function. That switch will input the "page down" command constantly as long as it is left in that position. It will do the same thing for page UP, too.

It's been quite awhile since the original post, but hopefully someone can help me.

Does anyone know where I could get the pictures for this installation guide? All I get is that "picture not available" red x. Not surprising connsidering how old this thread is. They would really useful since I'm new to my Saitek x45 and LockOn
