I was having an issue with the game going to a black screen and not responding after the first logo. Turns out it was due to a second lcd I had active. I had my primary screen extended to it. I disabled the second screen in the Castalyst Control Center and whalaa the game started fine.

I have a ATI Radeon 4890 with current drivers.

He is talking about if you have 2 monitors on 1 pc. If you have 2nd monitor turned on in windows (extended desktop or clone mode) you can turn it off through your display properties. Right click on empty spot on your desktop, click properties, click settings tab. Uncheck "extend my desktop", click OK.

You can also do it through the Nvidia or ATI control panel, depending on which card you have.

If you're not using 2 monitors, this won't help you.
