I don't know about y'all. but I am really getting tired of buying games that are not working. I miss the good old days when I could earn my money and buy a legitimate copy and have fun, but I am troubleshooting pieces of filfth like this game non-stop. I was truly looking forward to COJ:BIB because the first one was so much fun to me, but now I can't even come home from work and relax playing my game. If Ubisoft decides to not make a patch then they have killed there own business, and I will see to it that everyone knows about there arrogance. I called Ubi today and they suggested I turn down my resolution . . . I had the thing set on my native resolution, and then they said that the devices running in the back ground made the install preform incorectly. How does background events have anything to with improper installation? It doesn't, it makes it run slower when installing, but the files are extracted from the DVD to the HDD. It isn't that hard. My 9800 GTX+ OC edition has more then enough power to run the game honestly. I want this to be fixed, but I don't think that I can look forward to that. Also, my sound doesn't work now.

Hi. Hope this is the right place to post this.
I have just installed CoJ2 via Steam. The opening cut scene plays fine, but the text on the set-up pages that come next is unreadable - blocked out by large red rectangles. This is my system info (I'm using an Asus M50VC laptop). Including all the info I can; hope it's not too much!!: Processor Information: Vendor: GenuineIntel Speed: 2394 Mhz 2 logical processors 2 physical processors HyperThreading: Unsupported FCMOV: Supported SSE2: Supported SSE3: Supported SSE4: Supported Network Information: Network Speed: Windows Version: Windows Vista (32 bit) NTFS: Supported Video Card: Driver: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS DirectX Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll Driver Version: 7.15.11.7605 DirectX Driver Version: 7.15.11.7605 Driver Date: 25 June 2008 Desktop Color Depth: 32 bits per pixel Monitor Refresh Rate: 59 Hz DirectX Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS VendorID: 0x10de DeviceID: 0x6e9 Number of Monitors: 1 Number of Logical Video Cards: 1 No SLI or Crossfire Detected Primary Display Resolution: 1440 x 900 Desktop Resolution: 1440 x 900 Primary Display Size: 20.00" x 12.52" (23.58" diag) 50.8cm x 31.8cm (59.9cm diag) Primary Bus: PCI Express 1x Primary VRAM: 512 MB Supported MSAA Modes: 2x 4x 8x Sound card: Audio device: Speakers (Realtek High Definiti Memory: RAM: 3070 Mb Miscellaneous: UI Language: English Microphone: Not set Media Type: DVD Total Hard Disk Space Available: 295241 Mb Largest Free Hard Disk Block: 142524 Mb Steam Hard Disk Usage: 18634 Mb OS Install Date: Aug 31 2008 Installed Packages: ,Windows Firewall Already asked Steam - they say "nothing to do with us, boss". It's pretty easy: all you have to do is delete the COJ:BIB folder in the Documents folder.
Then it works. Seriously. |
