I don't think so, although JSF arty outranges both the EFEC & SGB artillary.

The EFEC units move faster and their shields are better, but once their shields are down they fold pretty quickly.

The SGB are alot slower but can take a pounding.

This has been discussed a lot, and the answer is yes. It isn't just the units, though; it's the entire way the TOW is structured to ensure that JSF has no real disadvantages.

That isn't to say that they are unbeatable or that other factions don't have solid strengths. However, it is much easier to win as JSF than any other faction, which is why most noobs and average players (and frankly many of the supposedly "top" players) choose that faction for themselves.

There are a lot of balance issues in the game. None of them will be corrected in the current version, and Ubisoft has turned a deaf ear to the community so I doubt they will be fixed in Endwar 2, either.

I'm a lvl 9 JSF player, I'd started out with the Russians, then changed to enforcers, and then finally to JSF.

I chose JSF cuz I'm an arty noob (:P) and also I feel that JSF range advantage is very useful -- on several maps I can position my tanks so that they can fire accross an obstacle, such as a river, building, etc, and hit enemy vehicles, which cannot maneuver into range.

As such, I feel that the JSF is slightly overpowered, although I agree that it is doubtful that this will ever be fixed :*(
