When you use the secondary attack on a target, is this a process that is random? What I mean is let's say I use the MLRS attack on the artillery for JS, I have noticed that for the little time I'm able to watch the unit nothing seems to happen, so is this something that happens sporadicalloy or what?
Thanks as always for any info.
On a side note, I am at odds with myslef, torn between the JSF and the Spetz as to who I enjoy using the most. I hope to come to terms with this soon for I intend to join the TOW before to much longer.
So you told it to use Gridsmashers on a target and the artillery unit didn't do anything? Did you loose the line of sight on the target because if so they will stop. And are you sure you didn't just miss them firing, MLRS fires very fast and takes a moment to reach their target.
Usually when a unit doesn't automatically fire it's secondaries it is waiting for all vehicles in the platoon to line up because it will let you order the attack if only one vehicle has a LOS. But artillery doesn't need a LOS so for yoru exampel I doubt that's it.
I should have been more specific. When I ordered the arti to use secondary, it was already firing it's main weapon. I ordered the secondary just to see what it did and what it looked like. I am willing to bet it probably did it and that it does not do it contniously, just sporadically. But thanks for the infor and I am going to try it again.
the secondary weapon fires soon after you order the arty to do so. then it will continue firing normally. it is a one salvo fire weapon.
sometimes the damage is minimal depending on the target you are firing at. normally, infantry in building or cover suffer the least from this kind of attacks. that's my observation.
