What's the common thing between,

HOMMKINGDOMS
Army of Two
Assassin's Creed
Tom Clancy’s EndWar
Brother in Arms: Hell’s Highway
Far Cry 2
Splinter Cell

Simple, ALL are UBISOFT titles and ALL were/are delayed for some to SIGNIFICANT amount of time (some being a Month and significant being more than an year).

Were the games BUGS FREE?
HELL NO!

Now, I can understand a PC or a platform game being delayed, but when it comes to a BROWSER BASED MMO STRATEGY GAME - THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.
Do the UBI team think they can make the game flawless or perfect WITHOUT giving it a try and see the multiple side doors, tricks and tactics REAL PLAYERS will find.
Madness!

And we're talking about a BETA here, not a final game.

See, all the Browser based MMOs - THEY ALL HAVE PASSED AT LEAST FEW SMALL OR MAJOR CHANGES IN THE RULE SYSTEMS AND GRAPHICS ETC.

Creating such a game is a long process and interaction with real players is needed.

I'm far from thinking that UBI does not realize that, SO the BIG QUESTION is WHY DO THEY ANNOUNCE MESSED UP DATES.
FOR STOCK INCREASE AND SHARE RAISES?!?

P.S. Anyone care to share how can I save my game in Assassin's Creed - PC version? Nice feature UBI!

The open beta of HoMM Kingdoms will start, when the closed beta has finished and any necessary changes recommended, by real players, are made.

So, expect the actual game in the beginning of 2009 then?

The question is not about how long does it take UBI to develop the game! It can take them years!
But it's more about the way the game was announced, the terms proposed and the humiliation and agony gamers have to suffer by that.

Announce the game - that's FINE.
But why, OH WHY TF, the times announced are not followed.

That's like saying straight and honestly in the face of players "WE F**D YOU AGAIN!".

What i find wired withe you stand point is that you as a player should demand that games get relased later. Not jump on the band vagon of realse the game now.

I couldn't have said it better... As znork has said, this is the first time I see a fan criticising a company for releasing the games later, when we all know that it will be always better for the game itself. Really, was it necessary for you to create a topic just to complain about a delay??? I really don't get it... The game will be released when it will be ready, and the Open Beta will be released when the design team will consider appropiated...

I guess telling you that that is doubly banned according to the rules won't help, and explaining dyslexia to you probably won't help either.- Neither pointing out how extremely difficult it is in many cases to learn writing a second language at all, nor telling you that Znork speaks English as a native.

Perhaps you'll be lucky in your next level up? Score a few knowledge points and be able to explain to us just what the point is of making fun of people due to how they spell? Or how that helps your case, makes you seem bigger? And by level 3 you might even be so lucky as to having scored two knowledge points and being able read phonetically, out of context or just politely asking for a rephrasing?

That said, I agree with Znork. Better to wait a bit longer and get a good game than to get a buggy and unfinished product right away. Results in better gaming, more positive feedback, more money and more fans for a possible sequel or related products.
