Ive been thinking and i think that this game is weird. It follows the storyline and has materials from the game (races,towns and heroes) but the gameplay is not the same.This game will either be good or suck hard. What do you think is it a sequal or just a game that stands on it`s own?

It's probably a middle thing, besides it's free, so i definatly think they are doing it to garner some interest for HoMM 6 or something else.. not that i mind though

If you think about it, heroes of might and magic is just the same. Same story/lore as the might and magic series. |

Homm Kindom is almost like a browser version of Homm5 from what i see. While the main struture stays, most of the gameplay style could be changed to suit the browser based concept.

As ImperialDane suggests, it's probably to create interest in a forthcoming HoMM VI, Ubi did the same with Settlers 6, they created the Settlers Mini Game as a way of attracting new players.

Travian is a profitable game, and HOMM can obtain the same benefits by attracting HOMM-fans to a similar Massively-Multiplayer Tick-Based Strategy Game.

It's not just an apetiser. A HOMMV project was for the HOMMV release cauld HOMMV-minigame. But in my opinion that wasn't very good hope this one is better.
