According to FAQ and mod posts, beta will start "early" 2008, read jan/feb/mar. If you can't participate in beta the game will be released _approx_ 3 months after beta starts. In 90% of the cases, games are delayed, so, short answer:

no one knows! everyone hopes it will be released before summer.
