Have found time now to play with creating a mission but have a few hang ups to work out.
I wish to rescue a hostage and escort to extraction zone. So far I have been able to get him not to shoot me like before thanks to your help and also to follow me to extraction to end mission as long as I am solo. My friendly AI is now shooting the hostage and ends game. What do I need to fix to stop this?
Also I have actor (hostage) locked into a sitting position smoking but when I find him he is standing drinking a beer. Also when I bump into him he pulls out a rifle and starts cussing but he will follow me.How can I disarm him and improve his disposition?
Also how do I get him to show on the command map as an objective?

I know that was a whole lot to ask at once but I always appreciate the help

well to disarm him you have to give him the kit (when you place the actor on the ma in the corner there is a space to give him a name, kit, etc.) the kit: noweapon.kit and then he will not have a gun. As far as the ai shooting him he should be in the allied company so he will not be seen as an enemy. As far as showing him as a objective on the map I don't honestly know

You mean the man with his head up the horses butt? I just wanted a little change.

You mentioned allied company. I have placed him in a seperate company....platoon...team all by himself. I must be missing something. Thanks though....I will go back and try to disarm him as you say.

to place him in an allied company select the company he is in and in the bottom right corner it has a place to change the name and under the name of the company it has a box and says allied company, click the box and now hes in an allied company (as always dont forget to save)

Showing objectives on the command-map :

with Waypoint - label.

Place one on map, give it the objective name.

Thanks san.....That works.
Another question if I may? I can set up complete objectives such as escorting hostages to zones and place demo charges to complete and objective. How do I do same if I want to say gather a thing (ie: colect code book from a room in a building?

You could use a proximity-trigger for that.

yeah i think thats the way it was done on the original game...... proximity triggerRazzlayer platoom is within 10 meters of object 1, mark objective 1 complete, hide object 1 from the game world, etc.
