I noticed that the actual payback files are not media player files, but the intro and a few others are. How can you convert your playback files into media player files. We would like to make a small video of our missions with our video editing software, but I don't know who to get the playback files into the editing software, it doesn't support that file extension.

As far as I know, you need a vid card with a TV-out jack. Then, run the replay, with the TV-out going to a VCR which records it. Then, you need to feed the VCR playback back into a movie editing program to get it to mpeg or avi format. Very roundabout way, but I recall one of the RSE guys saying that's how they had to do it.

In this age of digital encryption and super-fast technology, the best way to do something was to use a VCR????? What's that all about?!?

Maybe RSE spent their budget on pizza and beer instead of a dvd recorder.

if you have a really good video card and computer, you can use Fraps (fraps.com I believe), it's a DirectX recorder... but like I said, you need a good computer to use it, cause things get pretty choppy on a comp like mine (Don't laugh too hard- Pentium III 733, 16meg 3D vid card (yes I know I need a new one), 320 ram)

i make ghostrecon movies all the time
i use fraps and other free programs to do so.

its wicked easy to make a gr movie from a replay and add music, text, additional gr sounds and what ever u want like opening credits and ending rolling credits. i was the one who brought this back to community at ghostrecon.net and i also inspired 2 other people to make them.

YOU DONT NEED ALL THE STUFF THE OTHERS SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i guess they havent made movies b4 the easy way or at all.
with any program i have i can make a gr from a replay or even while i play the game to get all the animations YOU WILL NOT GET recording a replay all in a bout 1 hour with alot of stuff added in.
