When I edit a weapon in IGOR, it doesnt stay changed when I go to use it in the game...for example, I put the SOCOM M4 with a M136 in IGOR, but when I go to use it in the game it stays as the original. Can someone help me get My kits into GR.

Are you editing the original kit files? For starters, you should set up a new mod folder for edited kits or at least save a copy of the original elsewhere in case you need it. Secondly, if it is one of the original kit files, those are all read-only. Find your kit file (thru My Computer or Windows Explorer or whatever), select it, right-click on it to get the properties window, then uncheck the read-only box.

If you're adding a new kit, but can't get it to appear in-game, you need to add your new kit to the "no-restrictions.kit" - this is basically a list of all available kits in the game.

See a similar thread in this forum with the subject "Need a little assistance" if that's what you're trying to do. Otherwise, it's what Cobaka said. He speaks the truth. Not often, but on this occasion anyway...

Gave some thought to the tut?

Btw...I want a lot of new maps for my LAN playing with my nephew. Where can I dl them? Just the maps, so missions and other things are not really necessary...

If you are making new missions for just you and your nephew than you don't need permission. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE FILES SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU DELETE THEM!!!. You seem to like to delete files you need

No problems at home from the hurricane except the dang internet. Just a bit damp. But power is still out not far from here.

The Dam is a map. Harntrox files are usually missions based on existing maps. Check out Frostbite which is a whole mission pack with all new maps but it's a huge file. Also, anything from 10mm Auto.

Which of those has totally new maps? All of the ones you mentioned?

I have seen the original ones now and the only thing that you can do is script it a bit and change the spawnpoints/extraction/insertion and that's it. The map stays the same and becomes somewhat boring...

I need some new stuff!

Instead of modding through igor, just open a notepad document and code whatever you want, then save with .KIT file extension. Make sure you save it to the Kits folder. If you aren't sure about the coding, open a premade kit file with notepad. The variable names are very self explanatory. You can also copy and paste existing kits into notepad and mod them from that point.
