Hi all,
Here are a couple of things all members should take into take into consideration when they are about to make a post on this forum. However long this thread may be, please take your time to read these and make sure you understand all of it. If something is unclear, feel free to contact a Moderator or Community Manager of this board by means of Private Messaging (PM) for further clarification. 0. Table of Content
I. Before posting A: Are you sure you're in the correct forum? In order to stem the amount of threads being locked due to posts being in the incorrect forum please assist us by making the correct choice before starting a new Topic Thread Ghost Recon Off Topic Forum: For all discussions unrelated to the Ghost Recon Games. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Console Forum: For discussion of GRAW 1 & 2 on Console. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter PC Forum: For discussion of GRAW 1 & 2 PC. Ghost Recon Console Forum: Discussion of all previous Ghost Recon titles on Console. Ghost Recon PC Forum: Discussion of Ghost Recon PC. Ghost Recon IGOR/Mod Discussion Forum: Discussion of mods for Ghost Recon Games. Ghost Recon Server IP Listings Forum: List your Public Server IP in this forum. It is in everybody's best interest if you keep your posts to the correct forums. Useless threads will be closed without explanations - if you want to know why your topic was locked, read the rules to find out. B: Has this topic been posted before? Duplicate threads (i.e. topics that have been posted before) take up needless amounts of bandwidth and increase the loading times for the pages. That's why we ask the members look through the first few pages of the forum to see if there already is an existing topic, similar to the one they would like to create. If so, it's always best to post in that thread rather than creating your own. To help you in this endeavour the forum has a Find feature. When used properly this little thing could very well be your best friend on the Forums. It's fast, easy, and always available; we ask you all use it when needed. Back to the list II. Posting a topic/replying in an existing thread If you're sure you're about to make a post on this, or any other of Ubisoft's forums, please keep the following guidelines in mind. These rules should be pretty clear and simple to most, but seem to be hard to understand and follow to some. So for clarification, below is a summary of some of the main points of the Terms of Use. Everyone please note, that when you sign up to the forums, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of these forums. It may be worth reading through them if you aren't sure.
For the full version, please read the Terms of Use page. Failure to abide by these Rules of Conduct will result in the removal of your posting priviledges. The moderators are here to make sure the forums remain fun for all involved, and those that come here with the express purpose of causing trouble will not be welcome and will be banned. Mod bashing will not be allowed under any circumstances. Moderators are volunteers. They didn't volunteer to take your abuse. Use common sense, if you think posting something may offend some people; it probably will so don't post it. If someone offends you DO NOT respond in kind, report it to a moderator and we will deal with it. No swearing, No insults, and no harassing of members. These are the 3 main rules. Be civil and have fun and respect your fellow members. Back to the list III: Some other things to take into account A: Questions about Signatures and Avatars We want to keep the forums fast loading so we have to minimize usage of pictures to a reasonable size. Please follow guidelines posted here and restrict test posting to that forum. B: The internet This is a place to have fun, and as such, statements made here shouldn't be taken too seriously. The internet in general shouldn't be taken too seriously. When people start to overreact to posts on the forum, the fun gets sucked right out of it. Try to remember that whenever reading a post directed at you. The use of smilies could help better convey your emotions in a post. C: Illegal Discussions Posts and replies on this subject will be removed and the offender will be warned or banned at the discretion of the Moderators. And remember: this is not limited to Ubisoft titles! D: Armchair Moderating The moderation team know how to do their job and do not need advice or direction from users. If you have issue with any decision made on the forums contact the moderator or a forum manager directly via private topic. Do NOT create threads/ posts questioning/ arguing with the moderator/s. The moderators work hard to maintain the forum as a friendly place. They do so in their free time and without payment for their services purely out of the goodness of their hearts. Show them respect … they have earned it. Back to the list Thanks for your attention and your cooperation, The Ghost Recon Moderators |
