Hey, all. If I wanted to create the most powerful actor possible, what can I do in addition to (or in place of) the following:
-Create a new actor file where all of the 4 stats (Weapons, Leadership, etc.) categories are set to 20 and the armor is Heavy. -Set him to Alert -Do an ActorStatsBoost in Startup script Or is that all that can be done? In particular, I want to put some guys in the tower on the Docks board that are very tough to kill - you get in his line of sight, you're dead. Should I set the new actor file to Support, Rifleman, or Sniper (suggest his best weapon for your choice)? Thanks! |

Your list will all make a very tough enemy. But there are a few other things you can do. "Combat" is a higher state of alertness than merely "alert", so set him up that way - and remember to Lock it, rather than just set it (it prevents the AI lowering the alertness status as the actor "gets bored").
You can also set his ROE to Suppress and All Costs to make him more aggressive. Positioning someone in the crane like you mentioned, I would recommend making him a sniper with the Dragunov only kit (it's in the original GR) to maximise his effective combat range. |

Good stuff! Will do. So I should set my new actor file to sniper (for the Dragunov)?
How about setting up a defense station at the top of the tower so the guys stay up there? I'd like feedback on how many actors I should put in the crane. More could be tougher, but my buddy likes to use a gun with a grenade launcher. I'm trying to come up with scenarios where a grenade launcher isn't the best idea. So far, I think I'm going to put hostages close to the enemy groups, so he's forced to shoot them the regular way rather than grenade everyone in one shot. |

Yeah, a defence station would also make it harder, as would setting a cover arc, so that all the guy's attention is focussed in one smaller area...
It doesn't really matter what specialty you give any actors in the game - you can set their kits to whatever you want, regardless of things like that. You can give heavy machine guns to snipers, sniper rifles to demo guys, explosives to rifleman... So don't worry too much about that. I personally wouldn't put too many people on the crane. Just a couple maybe, to cover multiple approach directions to make it harder to get close undetected... |
