Hi everybody,

Does anyone know how to use this tag? The M136 has this set to 1. The M82 of Navy Seals 2.1 has this set to 2. What do the numbers mean? Do they mean amount of damage or types of damage or layers of walls? Can I adjust this number so I can make a weapon that can shoot through walls?

I dont think you can shoot through walls unless the wall itself is an object with both an undamaged model and a damaged model but I could be wrong

the walls like in swamp air field that has the roof that blows after a demo is placed. Those types of walls. Only the dmg effect that is scripted can blow them up.

you know when you kill a tank with a M136? doesn't that essentially penetrate the tank and kill the driver inside? so there must be a way to shoot through objects... but i haven't figured it out yet.

anyone know of any gr modding manuals that i can look through?

well when you shoot the tank it doesnt actually shoot through the tank, it just leaves the blast markings on the tank and sets the driver and such to dead, in the black sun mod the apache attack helicopter and the huey have 2 models one for when its normal and one for when its destroyed that is what youd have to do to destroy a wall too, one version of the wall (as an object that is made in 3d studio max) that is normal and another for after its beenshot (also and object made in 3d studio max) and script the mission to when its shot it switches models.

ic... that's interesting.

what if i want to shoot a bullet (or projectile) through a door or wall so that it hits a tango and kills him? (showing whether the wall is broken is secondary...)

DamageThroughWalls is for weapons so they do damage through walls.

It won't destroy the wall (if it isn't a dynamic object).

I think you can shoot through doors as is though, cant you san?

you can shot through doors if they are wouldnt doors. That will go through and injure or kill people on the other side. from my experince the bullets are deflected and dont go where u think they go. So it may help to go full auto on the whole door.

On the other side. some little bunkers with sand bags that can have 50 cal MG. about 50 feet in front of the bunkers with the sand bags barbed wire across the whole map. From the barbed whire back to behind the trench have spots that if a damage effect is there that it will blow the ground up and make a crater.

Size of map: medium to large.
Sky: cloudy.
Weather: Rain
Terain: Grassy some bushes and srubs few trees.

so... what should the settings of the weapon (/projectile) be if i want to shoot through a wall? does anybody know?

how about if i want an explosion to take out some tangos on the other side of the wall?
