Sig Testing Thread Can Be Found Here<---Click

Sig/ Avatar Size

As you are all aware Ghost Recon will soon be switching and migrating to the new forums. So as an advanced warning to all community members when the new forum takes place the below is the guide lines for Sigs/ Avatars. I suggest you start work on them now so when the date comes around you are not caught out by the below rules. I would also like to point out that Avatars can be custom made when the new forum takes effect

<---The two additional lines of text below or above the 500 pixels wide by
150 pixels high Sig must not exceed this size or width------------------------->

General Sig/Text Rules

No text is to be "marquee behaviour" (Moving) flashing or doing any outrageous behaviour. There is to be no sound attached to any Sig be it image or text.

Picture only Sig guide

Images should be NO LARGER than 500 pixels wide by 150 pixels high.

Text only Sig guide

If you're not using an image please contain your signature to no more than 8 lines of text and again must not exceed the total area of the above mentioned image size (500 pixels wide x 150 pixels high) If you use a text only Sig then your text size is unrestricted so long as it remains within the confines of (500 pixels wide x 150 pixels high) allocation.

Additional text guide

Forum members who choose to use the picture Sig or text Sig are permitted to have an additional two lines of text either above or below your Sig, or a combination of both but must not exceed a total of two lines. The text will be no larger than size="3" and maybe a colour of your choosing and must stay within the confines of 500 pixels wide as a maximum allowable width for text outside the Sig picture.

Avatars

Avatars images should also be no larger than 64 pixels wide by 64 pixels high and there is to be no "Shockwave Flash Object" picture or sound attached.

Content of Sigs

Regarding content... Keep the images in your sigs strictly G-rated. The only requirement that Ubisoft sets to access this forum is that the user is at least 13-years of age, so keep that in mind at all times. No profanity will be allowed in signatures and this includes the use of asterisks or other characters to trick the forum filter. If you (or the moderators) can tell it's a swear word then this is not acceptable.

If you violate the above signature rules, your posting privileges will be immediately revoked and the moderators will delete your signature from your profile in entirety. You will receive an email from one of us when this occurs and you will need to submit your new signature to the moderator who suspended you for his/her approval before your posting privileges are restored.

Note: The aforementioned rules are subject to change at ANY time with or without prior notice to the community. Just remember to keep it clean, keep the sizes down and use what little common sense we all have when deciding what to place in your signature.

Thank you snipe21 for letting everyone know and keeping us all informed.

One other thing you all should keep in mind is that if your avatar is inappropriate, you will not be warned about it, you will be banned. So play it safe and if you think your avatar may be inappropriate, it probably is, so don't risk a ban over it. This includes any animated .gifs involving the movement of certain female body parts Wink

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

# Restrict or inhibit any other Member or user from using and enjoying the communication features on the Sites.
# Sell or distribute, outside of the game, any element of the games including without limitation game's characters, names, weapons, objects, skills, virtual currency and other features.

There are several key points in this that some of you appear to need reminding of:
# These rules will be applied at Ubi's sole discretion.
# You are required to follow instructions of authorised personel (moderators and admins) even if the instruction is not covered in the posted rules.
# If a reasonable person objects to something, you may asked to remove it or it may be removed. Again this at Ubi's sole discretion.
# Hate speech and derogatory comments are not permitted (this means flames too).

Also, If someone comes to the forums doing one or more of the above DO NOT ATTACK BACK as it only makes you guilty as well. Let one of us know, and we will take care of it.

Armchair Moderating-The Forum Officials know how to do their job and don't need to be coached by the userbase. If you have an issue with a decision made by a moderator, contact an Administrator via the appropriate form. Do not start a series of threads to argue with the moderator involved - this will be viewed as spamming and will result in an appropriate penalty. If you have a concern about moderation on this forum or with a moderator we encourage to contact the moderator directly in a private topic and discuss the issue in an adult manner.

Public postings with your concerns will be removed. That is not the way to solve a problem.

Thanks guys (Thanks to Freakishly too)
