HI maybe you guys can help me with this one i got the gold edition of ghost recon i installed the first disk and played it to the end with no problems but when i went to intall the second disk it intalled to 84% at C:\...\ghost recon\mods\mp2\shell\art\23.rsb the exact error message was component transfer error core game components mp2_shell_art D:\data2.cab Data error (cyclic redundancy check). thank you

Don't know, maybe a bad cd ? I would try to install it again (you probably did), then if it still doesn't work, try copying it to your HD and install it from there (if it's possible).
lol I dont know about a new copy but I would go to redstorm support section (which i think is the same as the ubi.com one)

This has occured before on other users, but I can't remember the solution. There's a solution for data3.cab problem in the tech support faq, but not for the data2. Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive and that you're installing from an ordinary cd or dvd drive. Not from any of those cd burner drives.
If that doesn't help, post a new thread in the tech support forum.
