I was reading some of the older posts (passing time) and noticed a mod that I believe is called "Super Grids" that lays a grid outline over all the original GR/DS/IT maps? Is this true?
I've done searches on all the mod sites that I know and I can't find a "Super Grid" mod... I have found a "Command Map" grid mod for GR and IT (two separate mods)... are these two the ones I need? Or is there a single mod? Thanks for any help... |

Super Grids: http://www.theplatoon.com/ghostrecon/archive.asp?post=849 This only works well if the guys you game with have them as well. I think the Alpha Squad #2 public server has them as server side, so they should appear for you whether you have the mod or not. Don't hold me to that :-) |

wombat,
nope, in fact it must be a different mod altogether. I have Super Grids installed, and last night went to play on AS#2, but I had no grid lines!! They have some separate grid mod... |

crtChunk72,
Once again, I stand corrected. |

Don't worry Wom. They say that making mistakes is the best way to learn.
Which means that by now you must be among the wisest men on the planet!! |

Absolutely Gav, I have earned it the hard way by making more then my share of mistakes. When I don't feel up to admitting my mistakes, I will counter by saying, "It is not my fault and as you well know, it never is." Hey Joe,where you goin' with that gun in your hand? Hello there guys, to use the supergrids on our #2 server, you must first install this grids.
Downloads HERE! This will give you the grids all the time you play Ghost Recon, and is a "must have" when playing on the alpha server. Enjoy! AlphaSquad_Biro |

AS_Biro,
So, you need both SuperGrids *and* your maps from the server? Or just your maps? I have both now, so it's not a problem, I'm just curious. Last night playing on AS#2 I now had grid lines... (and could follow orders!) I also downloaded your Firefight(40,50,60) and Recon(30,40,50) and find the firefight to be quite a hoot! Also, playing on AS#2 has been a blast as well... |

Using Supergrids as a mod requires that the server has it installed and activated.
Alphasquad integrated the coordinates in the command maps of the game and in that way, the coordinates will always work. So "no" you don't need both but having "Supergrids" installed can come in handy when you game with someone who does not have the integrated coordinates. In that case both can activate "Supergrids" and there you go. |
