I had a look at some of the textures and skins which are bitmaps... anybody tried renaming a jpeg texture to bitmap and using it in GR?

Would it work?

If you could the potential would be awesome!


One more *sneaky* post towards "Veteran"
I would like to introduce my favourite little emoticon I call her Pac Min. Yer, she has a problem keeping her mouth closed, but I wouldn't have it any other way...

OK...maybe I was not clear.

I don't mean converting a jpeg to rsb.

I mean renaming a jpeg in dos.

Have photo like skins... subi?

you can replace any texture/skin that is already in g.r. all you have to do is create one that looks the way you want it to, then name it the exact same as the one ur replacing, convert it to the same file type, and save it to the same folder in your mod as it is in origimiss.

Renaming a JPG is not very useful, I think, because it still needs to be converted to be able to use it in GR.

GR only supports RSB, BMP, TGA for textures (am I right ?).

Only RSB supports alpha-channels (am I right ?).

Look at Level Builder.pdf (on cd), and go to the part where it explains textures. Some info there !
