I have been thinking about this and I may of figured a way to get a patch for us SCDA folks who meet requirements and are still having problems. However, it will take some diligence on everyones part.

Background: I have been playing SCDA since it came out. After months of no new patches (and several driver updates), the program still doesnt work properly. So, I sent a question to Ubisoft. After doing the suggestions (some were on the FAQ which had been tried already), tech support gave up and marked the problem as solved.

I have been updating my question on a daily basis, waiting for a response from the development team, which is where the support team is referring the problem to. It appears that when you update a "solved question", the tech support is notified.

Plan: Comes from the old saying "the squeeky wheel gets the grease". Put your problems into tech support. Make sure you do all of the possible solutions that they recommend. If that does not work, do not let them close the service order. Keep updating it until you get a solution. They may tell you that they cant help you (which is undoubtly true); however, they are the only one you can contact.

Hopefully, the outcome of the barrage of tech support complaints that will not "go away" will get referred to someone who may actually try to help out. I havent seen anyone from Ubisoft address any of the remaining problems in months.

Whatever you do, dont get abusive: no cussing, name calling, or threats. Just insist on resolution.

Mods, if you read this, this is not a flame but a last ditch effort to get our product to work. Hardware manufacturers are all pointing the finger at Ubisoft. If you have channels with Ubi, please let them know that there are people who are still having issues and do not wish to be ignored.

Question:
Are you willing to do a bit of work to get SCDA to work?

Choices:
Yes, I will update my question daily if I have to!
Yes, but I will only update it every so often
Yes, I will sit here and wait to see if something happens
No, I'd like to help but I am allergic to work.
No, I give up on SCDA and Ubisoft.

Seems that I cant vote on this forum and that I cant change the setting so I can vote... oh well.

I vote for option 1.

Nah, I was highly interested in getting Assassin's Creed when I get a chance but, if this is the way UBI is going to treat us PC clients...f'em plenty of of other video game producers that want my money every time they have a cool new video game
