One of the most important parts of my job as a Community Manager is to represent the community within Ubisoft. When you guys need product support and patches, I'm the one who tries to get them for you by telling the developers exactly what you need. I can't always promise results, but the best I can do is make sure that you get heard.

Keep in mind, talking about an issue on the forums is NOT a replacement for submitting a bug report to our support team at http://support.ubi.com. If you want better chances of results or have questions about how to solve a particular problem, they're your best bet. Neither myself nor our moderators are technicians so it's likely that we'll be of limited assistance (except for vpc410, of course. He's our technical wiz. )

On to the process, there are a few things you guys can do to make my job a lot easier and thus help me help you.

* The first and most important thing is to post your bug/glitch/problem reports in one place so If you're reading this here in the Community Help forum then you're in the right place.

* When you post in the Community Help Forum, please make sure to CLEARLY MARK WHAT PLATFORM VERSION YOU ARE REPORTING ON! If it's Xbox, tell me it's for Xbox. If it's for PC, tell me it's for PC. I can't do anything with your information if I don't know what platform it's for.

* If you're reporting a glitch or exploit, DO NOT explain it in such a way that cheaters can learn the tactic from reading your report. You can refer to the problem, describe some relevant details, but if you need to tell me HOW it is done, please send me a Private Message.

* Lastly, please try to keep your reports clear, concise and constructive. I would prefer not to have to wade through flames and irrationally emotional posts to find the gem of useful information. The more details I can give to the developers, the more precisely they can address the problem, so make them accessible.

This is an xbox live problem. People are leaving my game during a ranked game and I am getting penalties for them. It happed twice. I had 150 points and now it took me to -50 points. I would appreciate it if you gave me my 200 points back. Please reply to my thread and tell me if I need to call ubi. Thank You

My Pc bonus disk (Collectors Edition) is not functioning correctly. I have splinter cell 1
installed and patched. When I run the installer on the bonus disk to
install the levels, i get this error "RTPatch engine exited with error
31772". I've tried it with a fresh install of splinter cell 1 but it gave
me the same error. Other people on the message boards are having this
same problem. Is there a fix for it?

I submitted the same bug report to ubi and they sent me a reply decribing how to install chaos theory, not the bonus disk contents. Its like they didnt even read what I wrote. I replied and tried to explain the situation more clearly, but they have not responded yet. Its a problem (though a minor one) thats affecting everyone who bought the CE. Some People payed the extra $15 just for those missions. It looks like the game files for the patch arent even on the dvd (the cab files are there largest non-video file, but they still are too small to hold maps and textures.) Its like non of the content is there.

I would just like to say that this game works fine for me but theres a few things that could probally be fixed easy.

First: My friend and I both have Mics, Nice comps and all clean and the game works fine for both of us. When he hosts a game in co-op everything works for us Mics and all but when i Hosts our Mics dont work wierd no big deal so i let him host for now.

Second: In the bunker map at the start theres a little glitch witch turns into a bug if you dont see a missle launch and you keep going to the 2end bunker and the doors looked closed and you try to decend you will get disconnected. You can avoid this by watching and make sure the Missle launches.

here's a funny glitch i encountered on vs. mode.

my buddy (spy) got knocked out by the mercs berserker attacked. When the merc went to put him in a choke hold with his gun i grabbed him. So some odd reason just as he choke holds him he comes to me and went into my body. the other spy went and laughed like crazy because of this glitch. after 3 minutes of moving him around he went back to lobby. sooo **** funny.

Don't know how to reproduce but this glitch will become easy to perform once someone gets the timing right. fix it before we have another glitch problem.

In Versus mode online, for some reason my xbox won't allow me to snipe as a mercenary in an game but in tutorial it works fine. I took the game over to a friends xbox and it works over there and we determined that its how the xbox reads the signal. Help me out and tell me why i cant snipe. Email Wndrlance@hotmail.com

Several people (including myself) are having problems reading the disk with V1.0 xboxes with the thompson DVD drives. either they can't read the disk or their game freezes in the menus.

Our developers are aware of the Thompson drive issue and are looking into it.

For the PC version: When attempting to run SC3 from my iomega external DVD drive, I recieve an error message with the following text:

Problem is--I don't have another functional DVD drive.

The drive's driver, my copy of Windows, my copy of DirectX, and my install of SC3 are all completely updated. The drive's speed is 16x. I have never had issues watching movies or playing/installing games from it before--in fact, Disc 2 of the Collector's edition works perfectly from the drive. My DVD key is correct.

Any ideas on how to fix/get around this problem, send 'em to frostyservant (at) (that google mail).

P.S. I think PC gamers are getting tired of being treated like criminals.

PS2: for online multiplayer the points are not getting awarded for ranked games. THis started about 2 days ago and hasnt been fixed. When a ranked game is won, it goes to the page where it shows how many points are awarded. INstead of having numbers for the points to the winning team, its just has a dash - on both sides, even the winning team. If you could please look into this and get this bug fixed it would be muchly appreaciated. Thx

I am truly sorry if this is not the right place for listing people who have cheated in a game, but when you say Community Help Forum, this is in that forum, so I have to assume this is where to list exploits and cheaters.

I haven't had a good day today, and on top of 10 losses due to new people to the game, drop-outs, random penalties for literally no reason, and finally being cheated, it gets to me.

Now, on to the exploit. People can somehow switch the game mechanics in ranking mode to where spies can't grap mercs from behind, spies can't jump on mercs' heads, mercs can't melee, etc. In this game, I was a merc, and when we started on Warehouse, I got outside the spawn and my teammate attacked me with his taser, then threw a grenade at my body just before i fell asleep. then, I come out, the spy gets me from behind and kills me. Third life I manage to get out of the spawn, I try to melee a spy who just missed me, and the A button didn't work. I tried hitting A two more times and my merc didn't even try to hit him, and no I wasn't paralyzed by a spy's gun or anything.

These guys did cheat, and it was only icing on the cake for my horrible day. Their names are as follows:

Legendary Spoon
was the host, and seemed to be the one in charge of changing the ranked game's mechanics around.

Sk8erPhsyko5
was the host's accompanying spy. I'm not sure if he actually cheated, but he didn't seem to object to cheating after I accused them after the game.

Mental Spartan
was on my team, a merc. He's the one who teamkilled me.

It may be noteworthy to mention that they were talking to eachother when one spy would choke-hold Mental Spartan, Spartan saying, "ok..ok.." like the spy was telling him what to do.

It would be greatly appreciated to see these cheaters banned, if not, suspended from Xbox Live. I came to Chaos Theory because of the cheaters on Halo 2, and it seems I can't go anywhere without some punks screwing my day up. Thanks, and if this is the wrong topic to post in, then please copy and paste so a moderater can see.

EDIT: Failed to mention this Chaos Theory was for Xbox. Date and time of the game would be Sunday April 24th, 9:40pm eastern time.

Hey i found a little problem/glitch while playing chaos theory for ps2 that kind of bugged me, it was that when you were spotted by a camera and Lambert says dammit fisher watch the alarms, later on in the level of the battery i catch lamert repeating himself and i havent even been seen by the camara... Well the games excellent one of my favorite parts is when the enemy says "say hello to my little friend!!" then you sneek up on him and slice his throat...

While playing vs on xbox live a merc got into the spy spawn on warehouse.I i found out later that by climbing down the ladder in such a way you can go onto the vent behind it and jump down over the fence and walk into the spawn. please fix this so mercs dont camp in spys spawn

just wondering if any one could tell me if they have any problems toggling night vision with Chaos Theory, everything works but night vision

I'm back for round two. I got cheated again during a ranked game by two individuals. They changed the game's mechanics around once more to where mercs couldn't melee, so me and my partner were left in the dust. However, this time I wasn't stupid enough to go all out guns blazing; my partner and I stayed in the spawn area, shooting any spies who tried to come in, but they still somehow managed to kill us off.

Probably didn't cheat since he got booted before me after the game, but when we both had two lives left, he threw a grenade and killed us both. I'm not sure if it was an accident or not.

Another sidenote: once one got me from behind, I said, "Nice cheating *****," he laughed and snapped my neck.

I hope the staff of Chaos Theory's online play can fix this problem soon. Thanks.

We first played a game with me and Jigaboo as spies, I didn't recognzie they were cheating until I noticed my teammate getting killed on purpose, then on his final life I noticed him and a merc were talking with eachother as a merc had him pinned down.

I didn't think anything of it as we switched sides to merc. We walk out of the spawn, he jumps down on the other side of the adjacent catwalk, so I follow him. A spy hits him on a box, I hit the spy, then my teammate melees me. At first I think its an accident before he starts shooting my dead body. The spy grabs his neck and they continue to go on a conversation.

Next, the spy gets into my spawn(which is cheap in the first place), kills me and then my teammate when he respawns. I manage to kill the spy but my teammate then continues to shoot me in the back as I try to make it to sector 3. I get killed, spy grabs his neck, they talk for awhile then the game ends.

Sorry if I'm sounding like some moron who likes to complain whenever I have the chance, but I'm seriously tired of cheaters online. I'm not even going to get into the argument we had after the game, I just hope to God Microsoft will have some sort of security system for the Xbox 360's XBL, if not, then forget Microsoft, I'm fed up with it.

Hello, I have started a new tread, but thought I should touch base here also. PC SC Chaos. When in game play everything is in slow motion. I am running Athlon 64 3700+, 2.4ghz, 512 mb, 200gb hd, GForcefx 5200, 128 mb Directx 9.0. Thinking maybe I need a bigger card. System Requirements says I'm at whats recommended, or higher. Hey seriousley I think everyone is tired of the glitches and ubisofts inability to stop it from happening. I had herd that on halo 2 that any lagg glitchers were immediatley booted from the game. Why can't ubisoft do something about that?? Personally I totally agree with you about posting cheaters. I want to start a post that POSTS ONLY CHEATERS NAMES. I am going to do that so look for that in the future. I am hoping that ubisoft will allow me to do it and hell mabey even make it easy to print out so that we can all enjoy this game with out all of the hassels involved with it. The cheaters all seem to do it all of the time and we cannot get a fair game in. I have a stand by button on my modem and I refuse to use it. I am also tired of these indivduals getting away with it. Please for the sake of the game fix these problems. Also I am tired of the fact that when these people use the standby button I lose points. Poor effort ubisoft on making this game enjoyable by the people that love the game and love to play it.

OK fist thing I would wish to say about glitchs:

The "Breakout" glitch [amount happened-alot]:

when your a spy and your hanging from a rail. when a merc comes you press A to go into the animation to pulling him off. then all of a sudden he breaks out of it and shoots you till your dead or just breaks out of it. I think thats a cheap glitch and if they can break out they should make it where the spy isnt grabbing air, or grabbing him and then shoot us.

you should fix the stand-by glitching because its ignoring. I know this is kind of wrong but yoshould have it when some when stand-bys it goes into a temp lost connection like Halo.... or you could do it like Rainbow Six 3: BA (UBI)where you dont move but its still kind of glitchy
