Hi. I've looked around the forum for a solution but I can't come up with a good answer for my problem. I can't see spotlights in the original splinter cell. My graphics card is a geforce go 7600. How do I fix this? No .ini edits have worked and I dont want to use a different driver. Thanks in advance.

Mobile cards can be different from add-on cards but as far as I know, only different drivers (probably from closer to the time the game was released) seem to be the best solution. That is why I haven't updated mine in more than a year- the ones I have work on the games I have and my hardware is not the most current so the drivers are not necessarily designed to work with my video card.

no hope then? Frown Is there an easy way to switch between drivers? Can you do fine with out of date drivers for newer games?

Add " -shadowmode=projector" minus the quotes to the shortcut for splintercell on your desktop. You just right click the icon and click on properties. On the shortcut tab you should see Target: ...\Splintercell.exe just change it to Splintercell.exe -shadowmode=projector and you should see spot lights again, though not in sc2 at the radar area.

I've tried adding the " -shadowmode=projector" to the shortcut's target exe, but it wont allow me to do it. An error message tells me the name in the target box is not valid, assuming it thinks that the extension is part of the name of the exe and not additional running parameters... Any help?

The string should look identical to that shown below. Delete the quotes surrounding "-shadowmode=projector", but leave the quotes surrounding the original string. Make sure you leave a space between the last quote and the dash in the extension.

"C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\Splinter Cell\System\SplinterCell.exe" -shadowmode=projector

Just to note that Pandora Tomorrow was complete hell without projected lighting; especially the Jerusalem level. My light meter was going nuts, yet there was absolutely no indication of light, or where the light was coming from in my vicinity.
