Hi all that have had a crash to desktop right out of the player menu. I solved my issue by replacing my cd rom drive. It was not a lite-on, but for some reason by replacing it, it now runs. So everyone try that, if you are getting kicked back to the desktop after selecting which to play,sp or mp. The funny thing is, this the 52x cd drive is an older one. The replaced on was a Tatung CD-1624E 24x and this good one is a Atapi 52x. Who knows why it worked, don't care. I can play now. Good Luck everyone. I will be back when I hit the next bug. Also, I called tech support. Celeron processors are supported. The tech told me to replace my sound card. NOT. it was not the sound card, video card or processor. It was the cd rom drive.

Were you getting a General Protection Fault? If so, which one?

I was getting no nothing but a kick back to the desktop with no log,report or error. Just the desktop. It was frustrating. Call tech support, although rather busy right now. Hmmm...wonder why??? They maybe able to help point you in the right direction. The guy I talked to said that he hated forums, bad info going around on them. I think he is wrong, cause I was able to solve my problem, so maybe it will help someone else. By the why, the game is beautiful. But it is not worth the frustration or hassle I went thru. This is the last game I buy off the shelf from Ubi.. I'll wait for the bugs to get worked out, then get a copy off Ebay for cheep. Good Luck All

hi im getting the same problems on the training lvl as i get to the bit were u have to shoot out the camera it returns to desktop and says general protection fault but my pc is got a top spec its got 2x 2.2ghz processer 2gb ram 128mb graphics card and the lastest direct x i think it might be sumthing to do wiv me having windows vista. Help eny1 ? plz im desperate
