For those of us who have Nvidia grapics cards,
and are getting problems like

I got a fix but keep in mind, this MAY or MAY(NOT) work for you.
Step 1. Uninstall your Nvidia Grapics drivers. (You probly have v93)
Step 2. Download v91 drivers here v91 Drivers (Nvidia)
Step 3. go through the process of uninstall/install.
Step 4. Test game.
Step 5. Report your findings! Does it work? does it not?

I have a Nvidia Geforce 7600 GTXXX. Works for the 7600 tell me your card number and say if it works or not.
Sorry ATI people if you have the same problem try a few things.

P.S. Can someone Pin this please.

Im going to try this.
I do infact have forceWare 93.71 installed for my geforce 7950gx2

I'll report back (slow speed at nvidia atm!).

/edit.
Iv decided not to install previous v91 driver for the time being.
Im using 93.71 with other games and its working alright. So im not gonna mess that up because SCDA wont work.

If that means i wont ever be able to play SCDA, then i gues it must be. Frown

Tried it, but didnt help.

Problem is I when I was to start Singleplayer, I get a blank fullscreen windows for a sec and then get the regular windows error window (with send/not send option) which says splintercell4.exe was the problem.

MULTIPLAYER DOES WORK, its only with Singleplayer

If this doesnt work im gonna have to return splintercell. (I have the eVGA Geforce 7600 GS) with forceware 97.73).

nVidia REALLY needs to put some effort in their drivers.

Took me 4 weeks to get it running right. Had to drop screen res to 960x800, turn off anitialising and anisotropic filtering on control panel. Also had to decrease hardware acceleration one notch on display properties and turn off write enabling. There was also a prob with my audio driver; had to turn off audio driver then enable it again. Runs much better now!

Doesnt work for me, It is quite upsetting that I just spent $300 on a 8800GTS and once I put it in I cannot play singleplayer. The stupid thing is multiplayer works just fine Come on Nvidia fix this! treat your customers with some respect and promptly fix issues with drivers for cards that cost $300+

I had this same problem with specs IDENTICAL to the Original Posters specs... I went into my into my NVIDIA settings and turned off its preset 3d settings, allowing programs to determine my 3d settings. Doing this solved the problem, no new drivers were needed.

FIXED: I had those issues and fixed it by turning all graphic card options off in the game exept for HDR rendering (which replaces all other options anyway so why bother ;-)

I can also play it max resolution (the 1600 one) using vista 64bit on a dell m1710 (geforce go 7950 gtx) using the latest inf-patched drivers from www.guru3d.com (forceware 165.something)

I was verbally in contact with the folks at UBI and what they told me basically is that until they worked out a patch (sometimes in autumn) for my new NVidia 8800GTX is to do the s.o.p.(standard operating procedure)which is to upgrade all drivers and to remove (uncheck)the HDR .I'm a fan of 'Sam Fischer' and I'm really feeling let down by the same people who drives the graphic card industry...Anyone one got a clue?

Hey peeps,
I had the same problem and I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 (wide screen HD resolution 1920x1200) with nVideaGO 7900 GS.
I had the same problem at first. The thing that solved it for me is messing with a couple of *.ini files from the game.
What I basically figured was causing all the mess is the lack of resolution choice in the game (my view wasn't just all messed up, but was stretched beyond proportions). After some searching I found how to force the game to take on my resolution (1920x1200) even when it wasn't available in the settings.
Fixing the resolution fixed the whole problem (though my game still crashes alot and I have a serious loading problem in Kinshasa Part 2, which brought me to this forum), but it was playable untill now.
Now to tell you how exactly fix your resolution you'll have to do 2 things, set the right resolution and the right FOV.
All is explained very well here http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8867

Have fun Wink

My system specs are Athlon 64 3800+ 2.41 GHz 2Gb RAM with 8600GTS. When I installed the vid card last night I was able to run SCDA but I got the phantom look where you see the equipment on Sam but not his whole body. I went ahead & downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver 163.71. Now it crashes and I get an Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! So now what do I do, any clues??? Any help appreciated!!! bow

hi friends, for all those who had experienced the graphic problem in SCBig GrinA with nvidia vga, i had the same problem, with a severe mess in the graphic, the graphic setting didn't help much, but i tried what the friend called "fire2thesky" suggested, and it worked just fine, you have just - just like he said- turn the nvidia acceleration option to be decided by the software in the nvidia control panel, and here it is, no more problem with SCBig GrinA, nvidia i just love you In Love
