Hi, I'm having an annoying problem with Pandora Tomorrow on my PC. Objects such as lamposts and spotlights aren't casting any lights or shadows. This is making the game very difficult to play. I heard the problem was caused by newer video cards rendering shadows differently than older ones. I had this problem with the original Splinter Cell, but I fixed it by adding this line to the .ini file:
ForceShadowMode=0 This changes the shadow mode from "Buffers" to "projectors". I added this line to Pandora Tomorrow, but no luck. Anyone who has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. my specs are: Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS By the way, I dont think this problem has anything to do with Vista, because the game runs, and it runs at a great speed. |

It is due to the NVidia video card and their drivers. Not sure how to fix it. I was forced to take out some guards I could probably have sneaked past.

I thought this might be the problem. Is there any way I can trick the game to think it is running on an older card or older drivers? I've heard of a program called "3D Analyze" that is supposed to do this, but I can't figure out how to get it to work.

Try lowering the resolution and the screen size.
Vista is DirX10,there may be a way to run the game in DirX9 mode. |

Good news.
The problem has been solved for me by installing 81.94 nvidia drivers – the first one for 7800-series. In other words, try some old drivers-stuff. |

Sorry for spam but...
Omega Drivers works fine for me too. Try it! |

What about ATI video card?

From what I have heard here, it is only a problem with DirectX 10 capable NVidea cards. ATI cards should work fine. I had a DirectX 9 ATI card worked fine but now have a DirectX 10 NVidia card so spotlights are a problem. I have not changed my drivers.
