Hi everyone,
I've posted to this effect elsewhere, but thought this would be a better place to get answers. My problem is as follows: I create a LAN co-op game which a friend then joins succesfully. I launch the game and the level loads for both of us. After a short time (in which we can run around a little bit) the game seems to freeze, or become unresponsive, and the player who joined the server receives a message about the connection having been lost. This happens consistently after a generally brief period. I have tried adding CT to all firewall exceptions (Windows and Norton) and making sure that my main computer and laptop recognise each other on the network. Connection is seemingly not the problem, staying connected, however, is apparently difficulty. I have version 1.05 and can play the game flawlessly on maximum settings on the computer I am using as the server. The second computer exceeds all system requirements stipulated in the configuration utility. I have seen a few people asking about this (at least five others from a Google search). One final thing: I installed the game, fully patched to 1.05, from the DVD in the Splinter Cell Trilogy set which I bought from a seemingly reputable Australian online seller. The box contained two CD keys (one for CT, one for Pandora Tomorrow), but I have not been prompted by the game to provide them even when creating an account for an online server. Starforce is also seemingly not included, or has not been installed. |
