After re-playing through the SC series I am ready to give Double Agent another try. I played it on my old computer which was running XP (SP3).

I have a new smoking hot Alienware I am trying to put through it's paces and SCDA never ran great on my old XP machine so I thought I'd try SCDA on my new computer.

The problem
When i place the disk in the DVD/Bluray drive it spins up as if it has detected a disk in the drive, but then acts as though no disk is in the drive. So I can't get a directory listing, install, or anything.

What I've tried so far
I had a similar problem with Call of Duty 4 but te issue turned out to be a finger print (gasp!) on the inside edge of the data side of the DVD. The SCDA disk is spotless, has worked in another computer and I have tried rebooting with the disk in and out of the drive. I have even gone so far as to reinstall the dvd/Blueray drivers. And nuttin!

As a follow up I also updated my Blu-Ray's drivers... Still nuttin!

Ubi support was quick to answer my tech support email and suggested: Deleting Windows temp, clearing internet cache, defrags and scan disks. None of which resolved the issue.

Any other suggestions?

Check the model of Blu-Ray you have -
A few Blu-ray Disc players could play DVDs but not CDs (the LG BH100, Pioneer BDP-HD1, and Sony BDP-S1)

This is a CD ROM game according to the FAQ at ubi.com

I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray.

But the game is a DVD for sure. No way they packed that much info on one CD. Anyone confirm that the CD version of the game is one disk? The DVD version is one disk but is it really a CD?
