are there any titles of splinter cell that can be run on windows vista and will conviction be compatible? I had to buy new lap top it came with vista my old unit had XP and i played thru 1st two titles I would like to go thru all titles in order if possible

I can play any of the series in Vista (32 bit- 64 bit does have issues which I cannot fill you in on). For Chaos Theory you will need to update Starforce at their website (the antipiracy software on the game). On a laptop a possibly more important issue could be what video card or processor you have. If it has an actual video card, the games may work (it will depend on the card) but if it has an onboard graphics chip (like an Intel one) then the chances of it working go down considerably.

I just got the SC / SC:PT double pack. The game installed, the opening sequence ran fine, but once I got to the menu screen, the text was not readable; there were just rectangular blocks where the text should have been. I tried running it in XP compatibility mode, but it did the same thing. Do you have any suggestions?
