So.
I bought Splinter Cell on Steam for the PC (of course) last week. I've finally got all the downloads downloaded and all the updates updated.
Problem is, the game won't open. After double clicking on both the Steam portal-thing's icon, and the icon on my desk top, I get the mode select menu. Clicking on either Single or Multiplayer simply leads to the menu closing and nothing happening.
I've got Windows XP on an older computer (old enough to run Half Life, but... rather slowely. >>, in case this comes up.
I'm gonna make a thread on the Steam forums (or at least, I will when they allow me on them v.v), too, but I figure two threads are better than one.
