ok i just bought chaos theory for pc and the single player runs flawlessly max settings @1280x1024 but when i try to play versus it runs really slow like its in slow motion.

my system specs are a geforce 7900 gs 256 mb video card, 2 gigs of ram, and an amd 64 3800+ cpu. this is really frustrating since the main reason i bought the pc version is so i can play the versus mode.

and i am running the latest patch for the game and im on windows vista.

if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using wireless internet??

The slow motion is due to an issue with AMD Processors. The fix is to open the default.ini (C:....Splinter Cell Chaos Theory/Versus/System) in Word and change the value of "UseAlternateTimer=XXXX." if it is False change it to True. If it is True then change it to False, I don't remember what the setting is supposed to be because i have an Intel Processor but i know that is the fix. Use the Edit>Find tool to search for the UseAlternateTimer.

I have Windows Vista and i changed "UseAlternateTimer" from False to True.. And it still was in slowmotion.. Can anyone help me, plz?
