Hi all,
I'd like to know wether it's possible to play Splinter Cell Double Agent on an ATI X1200 graphics card... |

Double Agent uses Shader Model 3.0 and the ATI X1200 cannot perform that shader- it only uses 2.0, so no, it will not work. Sorry.

No, it does have shaders 3.0... The only thing im worried about is wether it is strong/fast enough to handle the game. It doesnt matter to me if it has to be in low details and all.

Sorry if I was wrong on that. I tried to search for the capabilities of that card and found one review which said that. All I can tell you is that it is not on the list of supported video cards so it may or may not work- even on the lowest settings. If that is on a laptop, it becomes even more iffy as to whether it will work (even laptop versions of listed cards do not always work). The good news is that I have seen the game for about $10 so it is a cheaper risk than when it first came out (what was it- about $45 or $50 then?)
Is this what you are talking about? http://www.notebookcheck.net/A...ss-X1200.3775.0.html Doesn't sound very good for games. Quote: "ATI Radeon Xpress X1200 is hardly apt for gamers. Only old games like Quake 3 Arena can be played in 1024x768 with high/medium details fluently. Even Warcraft 3 runs fluently with minimum details. Current, damanding games like FEAR, Doom3 and Quake 4 can hardly be played (e.g. 2 frames per second in battle scenes in Quake 4). Some strategy games like Age of Empires 3 can only be played with minimal details (20-25 fps, tested with a FSC Amilo Pa 2510). " Supported cards at time of release: http://pc.gamezone.com/gamesell/p27899.htm •*Supported Video Cards at Time of Release ATI® X1600/X1800/X1900 NVidia® 6600 /6800/7300/7600/7800/7900 Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game. Additional chipsets may be supported after release. I can play SC chaos theory on the X1200, is that enough to say that it is likely that SC double agent will work on it?
