Well, I had my 3rd T-38 flight today. They let us lowly "Casual LT's" get all the backseat flights we can here at Holloman to give us a little pratice before going to pilot traing. I must say that it is an absolute hoot and is everything that I hoped it would be plus some! I can't beleive I get paid for this stuff! Today was incredible, we did some acro, buzzed a few cars, did a max perf. climb from some low level flying, went supersonic, and I finally got some stick time in. Last week we did a 3-ship low level flight through the mountains, and the week before I went on a 2-ship tactical maneuvers flight! We pulled some decent g's that day! Anyways, I thought I would share some pics and videos once I get them uploaded with everyone as some are pretty freakin cool. I'd like to compile all my best video clips into one long video with some good music. Anyways, for whoever is thinking they might want to be a pilot someday, go out and do what ever the f#@% you can to make that dream come true. It is worth the hard work and the payoff is incredible! Adios!

Oscar

My brother flew T-38C's out of Laughlin texas earlier this year. But they dont let you use the afterburners much in there. Hes about to take the seat of an F-16A block 15 ADF (later to be MLU) in a few weeks.

Glad your enjoying it. Awayting your Videos.

That is awesome about your brother. I am going to Laughlin in April. I can't wait! I've heard about what you said also. The Major I flew with yesterday said you will probably never go supersonic in 38's at UPT, so I got freakin lucky. Today I went on another flight that was absolutely fantastic. We did a lot of instrument work out at Roswell, and did some Acro near Ruidoso. We got some decent snow here last night so we went up and checked out the ski slopes as well Smile I got to kick in the burners myself today and do a loop and some other stuff. Talk about fun!

I do have a bone to pick with some of these sim devolopers. Going supersonic, or even kicking in the burners is nothing like it is in real life in the games. First of all, you cant even really hear the blower going.... you can feel that thing kick you into the seat lol, and the fuel flow gauge goes off the charts, but theres no earth shattering rumble. Also, going supersonic is totally anti-climatic. You cant even tell unless you look at your Mach meter. There is the tiniest bit of buffeting as you go transonic, but if you weren't looking for that, you'd never notice it either! So, there's no serene silence like in lomac when you hit M1.0. Everything soudns the same. Just htought I would share!

Awesome photos, CrazyAggie! Maybe you should post your supersonic experience on the lockon.ru forum so they can correct that bug. Good luck when you transfer to the Rio Lobos! Big Grin Just out of curiosity, which jet are you hoping for after UPT? On the other hand, I'll definitely understand if you don't want to mention it for fear of jinxing yourself. Wink2

Those ar some wicked ool Photo's, WAggie. I hope you get whatever you want. personaly since I'm a navay brat, I'd love to grab an F-8 Crusader or an F-4 Phantom. Ufortunatley, I'm almost 32. 12-25-06 will be my 32nd b-day and I wear either contacts or glasses. so it looks like I won't ever get the absolute joy of catapulting off a Birdfarm and then catching a 3-wire.

Congratulations Aggie, I guess I'll ahve to live my aviation drams vicaroulsy through you.

KW. Smile

Ok, I have not posted on these forums in a serious long time, wow. I was looking at those pics, and that looks so awesome. Congrats on getting that far. I just finished my first semester down at the University of Missouri, and am joining the AFROTC this coming semester. I hope to go for either tanker, or go for spec. ops. helicopters. I have awhile to decide, but I'll try to let everyone here know. I am probably going to take a trip this summer to fly, if I do well enough, and I'll also let people know then. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

HOwdy everyone.... sorry it';s been a while since my last update. I've finally gotten off my lazy butt and uploaded some more pictures. They are from a while back, but I haven't been taking a camera any more since I've been able to fly a whole lot. Today I got to fly in formation with an F-117! THat might have been a little tricky to do single handed lol. Anyways, enjoy the pics...

Well, I am no longer at Holloman, I am at Laughlin AFB and I stared ground school a few weeks ago. I am knee deep in academics and hit the flightline beginning of June. I can't wait for that dollar ride!
