I don't know if it's removed also. But I don't think so. My sketch below shows the external differences that I have found so far. Altough some A and B models might have been retrofitted with the new APU as well. The biggest changes has been made under the skin though. Gripen A stretches from 39101 to 39207. And Gripen B stretches from 39800 to 39814. The numbers above those are C and D models. The 39800(prototype) has now been modified to D standard. The Gripens on the pictures I posted earlier are 39157 and 39178, so they are A models.
