How many of you have seen videos from the “The Challenge of Flight” series as well as Time Life’s “Great Fighting Jets” or “Air Power” collection?

US airpower promotional videos we already have. But for the other series i believe they are copyrighted and cannot be spread around like simple aviation clips. But I would love to see them 1 day.

I just recently purchased a DVD recorder and I am in the process of “backing up” my aviation VHS collection which includes over 60 tapes including Time Life’s “Air Power”, & “Great Fighting Jets”, as well as “The Challenge of Flight”, “NOVA”, “No Easy Days”, and various Blue Angles and Thunderbird videos.

As for the copyright many of the videos which are “spread around” are copy righted, they are just taken out of context and very low on the radar of anyone who would pursue taking any action.

This isn't really aviation but it's pretty funny when the guy drives by and his car sounds like a fighter jet

Hi, found this forum on Google search engine while doing a search for aviation videos.

Here is a great link for some fabulous aviation video samples of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet and A-10 Warthog. Have seen this video in its entirety, is one of a kind and is a must-have.

That video is aslo present in patricks aviation site. Its take from the chevalier du ciel movie.

Thats the best part of the movie along with 2 other AA training sequences. If you saw them you wont miss the rest of the movie. Thats pretty much the bets part of it. The scene in question is halfway through the movie and it quicly looses interest after that due to cheesy argument. The soundtrack of the movie aint grand but the one on this part of the movie is rather nice, petty it was blaked out in the edited scene on your link.

Anyone know what these F-16s were doing at the beginning, when still on the ground, they seem to be "pissing" water out of their intakes...?

Its not pissing but rather ingesting. And its only vapor. It is caused because when stopped the F-16 intakes air flow comes from below rather from the front and the rotation of the engines causes the wirpool you see that extends to the ground sucking the moisture from the rain wet runway.
